On October 12, 2017 in the village Egorlykskaya (Rostov region) the IV Forum of the All-Russian social movement of rural women of Russia dedicated to the World Day of Rural Women was held.
The world day of rural women was established by the United Nation on 15 October 1995 at the 4th UN Women's Conference in Beijing and it is entered in the register of memorable and festive dates in the Russian Federation since 2008.
The world day of rural women - is designed to remind society how much it owes to rural women, how valuable is their work, it is a way to draw the attention of world community to an imbalance of the standard of living in the countryside and city conditions. These events are held under the slogan: "To ensure accessibility of rural women to education, credits, new technologies. Preservation of rural way of life, the better life of villagers».
The welcoming speech to participants of the Forum was made by the Minister of Agriculture of Rostov region Konstantin Rachalovskiy, the head of administration of Egorlykskiy district Pavel Pavlov, the deputy of Legislative Assembly of Rostov region Vladimir Boldin, the chairman of Russian Movement of Rural Women Nadezhda Bezbudko.
Among the present guests there were beautiful women of farms from different districts – from Rostov region to Yakutia, guests from the Southern Federal District and North Caucasus federal district.The forum was colorful, hospitable and multinational. The musical program, exhibitions, master classes, competitions and tasting of bread novelties were prepared for all participants. Within the framework of the Forum, round tables on subjects were held: "The woman - leader: power, business, family", "The woman – the farmer, the woman and bread: traditions and modernity", « A prosperous rural family – a basis of sustainable development of rural territories».
The company "Agrarum", represented by the CEO Tatyana Medvedeva , also took part in the event. Educational programs and information support, which famers can receive on the Agrarum portal attracted a great interest among the participants of the Forum. Many of them noted how it is important for them to obtain timely and useful information about the Russian producers of goods and services for agriculture, because they want «to keep up with the times» and to develop their farms efficiently.
